I recently saw this list of 10 qualities posted on another church blog and couldn’t help but share it here, with my own thoughts added. These are ten characteristics Hillsong Church expects all staff members to embrace in order to serve at Hillsong.
In my opinion, this should be the baseline for every church.
1. I am a can-do person.
Strong teams are full of people who take accountability for themselves, and who feel most alive when they are putting their best foot forward.

- Love of congregation. “If we know that our pastor loves us, everything else falls in place. If he doesn’t, nothing else matters.”
- Effective preaching. “I don’t have any expectation that my preacher be one of the best in the world, I just want to know that he has spent time in the Word each week to teach us effectively and consistently.”
- Strong character. “No pastor is perfect, but I do want a pastor whose character is above reproach on moral, family, and financial issues.”
